Pilot burners provide a small, reliably-ignited flame used to safely light the main gas burner, with ionization-electrode flame monitoring and forced-air combustion for stable performance across natural gas, town gas, LPG, or coke oven gas. They are used together with automatic burner control units such as IFS/IFD or PFS/PFD. RKIC supplies the Honeywell Kromschröder pilot burner range.
